The salongbord from Hallingdal
A low table with a drawer and a solid top. Made for the living room, as natural in front of the fireplace as in front of the sofa.
In Hallingdal tables were often built for daily life in the living room: low enough to stand in front of the fire, spacious enough for coffee, candles and whatever belonged to the evening. This salongbord, or peisbord, has the thick top, the single drawer and the sturdy legs that mark the type.
The measurements are practical: 105 cm long, 78 cm wide and 53 cm high, with a 4.3 cm top. It is a table you use, not only look at. The wood shows the years, and the warm surface settles into both older and newer interiors.

In a modern home it works as well in front of the sofa as a low fireplace table. It gives weight and calm without taking over the room.
