The ovnsfot
A classic Baroque element from Norwegian interiors of the 1700s.
The ovnsfot stood in front of the stove and protected the floor from sparks and heat, while also giving a decorative finish toward the stove front.

For collectors and interior designers, ovnsføtter are interesting both as sculptural objects on their own and as part of a larger historical setting. This piece from about 1750 is a good example of Norwegian Baroque in a practical format.
